NORWAY

This comes in a bit late, but here are some pictures of my New Year's Eve adventure in Sapsborg, Norway. I stayed at my friend's house, and probably met the most welcoming family on this planet.

Happy 2012 everybody!

Another side of London

Some time ago, the photographic society in City University London organized a trip to Canary Wharf, one of the main financial centers in London. So, this is the result of a perfect combination of great company, tall buildings and the East of London.

Canterbury and Dover

England is much more than the hectic life in London, much more than the restlesness of the big cities and definitely much more than the blue men in suits that work for global corporations. As much as I belong in London and would not change it for anything in this world, a while ago my friends Olivia and Fernando invited me on a little road trip to Canterbury and Dover, and here is the result!
I must admit I was initially shocked by how everything in Canterbury seemed so...tiny. Of course it is a town constantly visited by tourists, but it has nothing to do with London. It is somehow another world. We had a lovely breakfast and then we rambled around the streets taking pictures and admiring the cathedral from the distance (8 pounds is way too expensive!). Afterwards, we headed for Dover and had a lovely walk in the white cliffs. There are no words to describe the beauty of the wind messing yor hair, the sea crashing underneath you and a vast sea of green for your own visual pleasure.
Hope you visit these places soon and let me know your experiences!

Secret London

London is a city with so many hideouts to offer. It's got something to do with all the small alleys and the neon lights. Here are some pictures of Farringdon station at night and it's whereabouts and a bit of Brick Lane, also at night. I really find it amusing when you just feel alive and peaceful in the middle of this never-sleeping body, I love how at some point you are part of the colours, of the cold, and suddenly all your worries seem less important, all your pain disappears and you realise how everything is worth the fight.

Summer in Berlin

So, even though this comes with months of delay, this is gonna be a short summary of my summer in Berlin. The best place I visited was Kreuzberg, but sadly I don't have any pictures from there. Kreuzberg is full with bars or Kneipes, as the Germans say and second-hand stores. I got my favourite hat from there. Something that really impressed me was the abandoned airport, Tempelhoff, which has been open to the public and people go there to excercise or just have a beer or two with their friends. If you go to Berlin, I would strongly recommend buying a bike at the market in Mauerpark and just discover the city with it, really it is the best way as taking the metro or the bus don't give you the same feeling of life as a bike does. Another must is, of course, the East Side Gallery. About 1 km of Berlin Wall painted by some of the best contemporary artists in memory for the 20th anniversary of its fall-down.
